Cute little whodunit mystery from a debut author. Also nice to read a book by an Indian author that isn't exotified for Western audiences. This book is an absolutely delightful read from a debut author who ensures that the character of the main protagonist, Debabrata Halder remains with the readers of the book for a long time, for all the right reasons. Any crime thriller and detective novel afficionado will easily identify with Debu Halder and his unrealized dream of... Simple. Neat. Gripping. The pace of the story remained fast throughout keeping the readers intrigued, giving the experience of a good weekly thriller TV serial. And though all loose ends were tied by the end perfectly, a little more light on how the inside job was carried out technically would have given more satisfaction for me.
