I have heard that his wife will not read his horror, and I now understand why--some of the stories are so chilling and grisly that I refuse to read them a second time. On the other hand, I have read this cover-to-cover, for everything else, four times.... Most of the stories in this collection are not interesting. Some are very nice, but the majority were unclear and not what I love about Orson Scott Card's books.
