A classic and an excellent book. For anyone who'd like to learn what it was like to be an infantry platoon leader in Vietnam. Like all good war books, this not just about war, but also about leadership. For a young Army officer or officer-candidate, it's an absolute must read. this is my 2nd read through. It is not at all comprehensive of the Vietnam war but it is very interesting and keeps you glued to the pages. everyone
