This is the second set of books I have read written by J. R. Rain. The detective work is straightforward and well done. There is not may twists to the story line. There is no roller coaster ride. On the other hand you also do not know the special 'who don'it' till the end either.The problem I have is with his main characters. He gets... Wow!! I loved this book(s)!! I loved the characters, the sceneries, the plots - everything!!OK, so the copy I read is the 1st and 2nd parts in the series.1st part: We are introduced to Jim Knighthorse, a PI who should have been the next best thing in American Football if it wasn't for a nasty challenge that broke his leg. We see him... I love a character that doesn't take himself to seriously and yet has some depth to them. Jim Knighthorse is one of those characters. I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books in this series and look forward to the next.
